Principal Specialist in Nutrition
Dr E. Eve (BSc, MSc, PhD, DLSHTM, FRSPH, RPHNutr) holds a PhD in Human Nutrition from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (1995), a Masters Degree from the University of Swansea, Wales (1987) and is a graduate of the Federal University of Mato Grosso, Brazil (1981) in Normal and Clinical Nutrition.
She is a Registered Public Health Nutritionist and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health.
Dr Eve has worked as a lecturer in Physiology of Human Nutrition and in Public and Environmental Health—at London University in the UK, and in Universities of Mato Grosso, Sao Paulo and Amazonas in Brazil.
Her doctoral research studied the growth curves and nutritional status of farming families and their children in the Brazilian Amazon, and she has often returned there to research aspects of public and environmental health. She has published a number of scholarly papers.
She worked for several years as a public health practitioner for Bedford Hospital NHS Trust, in the UK where, among other activities she pioneered a weight management group for obese teenaged girls and nutrition and weight management sessions for elderly people.
She has worked with clients in many different cultures, in both clinical and non-clinical settings and at both ends of the spectrum from obesity to malnutrition.
Currently she offers clinics at Hampstead and also works in Harley street.
